Dr. Gerhard Gantner established a media art gallery in Innsbruck.

Stefan Bidner and Thomas Feuerstein founded medien.kunst.tirol as a bureau for intermedial communication transfer, supporting local artistic production and presenting international media-art positions in Tyrol.

Under Roland Maurmair and Annja Krautgasser, the association developed a new visual identity and internet presence and expanded exhibitions and presentations beyond Tyrol.

The historical management listed Maximilian Thoman as Chairman, Maurizio Nardo as Vice-Chairman, Stefan Bidner as Cashier and Christian Martínek as Secretary to the board.

medien.kunst.tirol is run by Anna Pompermaier and Cenk Güzelis of Me AndOther Me together with Max Thoman, continuing the association as a platform for media art, critical discourse and experimental cultural production.
