The sublte compilation and exhibition of austrian music producing, named after the presentation series, taking place in a
pavillion of the Innsbruck’ Hofgarten in September 2001 and conceived by the Vienna’ culture and polit activist Stefan
Bidner, draws a bow from electronic living-room sounds using Easy Listening- soundscapes, sophisticated Electronica, up to punky LoFi-Rock and forceful being caught between two stools. And it remains thrilling, witty and clever at the same time. Namedropping wanted? Bidner/Martinek, Musikkreis MS20, Sergej Mohntau (dispossessed it’s visual component sadly half exciting), Curd Duca, Thilges 3, Gelée Royale – just to name some ot them. Else, want a short summary from the booklet? »This CD is not specifically a political comment but definitively a message of solidarity to the anti-globalization movement.« A very pleasent release in times, where self-proclaimed alternative radios glut the local record stores with soft boiled consensus-sampler.
