Pettibon, Rhoades and Weigand purchased an old Mainship-Silverton-Yacht named “Bust Loose” in 1999, and took it to the Hermosa Beach port, to get it seaworthy again. The Yacht is starting point of the collective project “Life-Boat” and in the meantime became a place of communicationd and exchange of ideas. Rhoades points out that ‘this project is not mainly about art in general’, and Pettibon alludes that ‘water usually engrosses the mind of relationships’.

The CD-Rom leads through the working- and exhibition rooms and exemplifies their “work in progress” with panoramas and videos.
